Moon milk is such a trending new thing all over social media which I bet most of you still have little knowledge about. So, let's find out what is this magic called 'Moon Milk'.

Moon Milk is a fancy term for just a warm glass of regular warm milk with natural flavoring added such as honey, fruits, rose syrup etc.

Milk contains the amino acid (tryptophan), which can help you relax and feel sleepy. That makes it a natural sleep aid that also supplies protein and other essential nutrients.

You can make different kind of moon milks depending upon your taste preference and likes-dislikes. Below is the list of different ingredients you can make different kind of moon milks and recipes of three basic types of moon milks.

Ingredients:

  • Base : Apart from Milk, you can also use non-dairy options too like Almond milk, Coconut Milk etc.
  • Spices : Turmeric, Cinnamon, Cardamom.
  • Sweeteners : Honey, Coconut Nectar, Maple Syrup etc.
  • Herbs/Dried Flowers : Ashwagandha, Rose, Chamomile, Lavender etc.
  • Fruits : Cherry, Blue Berries etc.

1. Vanilla - Cinnamon Moon Milk

  • Take a sauce pan and add a glass of milk.
  • Add honey, vanilla essence and cinnamon stick (or powder) into it.
  • Heat it over a low flame with occasional stirring.
  • Pour it into a glass and enjoy.

2. Turmeric Golden Moon Milk

  • Heat Milk in a sauce pan.
  • Add turmeric powder to it.
  • Pour in a glass and add a tablespoon on honey in it.
  • You can also add Ashwagandha to boost your immunity and other benefits.


3. Rose Pink Moon Milk
  • Heat milk with either rose petals/gulkand, till it gets pink in colour.
  • Pour in a glass or cup and enjoy.
