Saucy Idli Triangles

Here’s a tangy little treats for your twilight hunger. Especially if you have some idli’s lying around from your brunch. Or you can just make/buy idli’s for it exclusively.But I promise you once you’d tried this delicacy you’ll always going to end up making it every time you have those extra idli’s.Let’s just learn to make this really quick and super easy recipe.

Ingredients:

Idli                                                      4 – 6 nos
Onions                                              2 nos
Green Chilli                                      1 pc
Curry leaves                                    6-8
Asafoetida                                       Just a pinch
Mustard Seeds                                Just a pinch
Tomato Sauce/Ketchup                1 Tbsp
Refined/Olive Oil                              1 Tbsp
Water                                                  ½ Cup
Salt                                                      to Taste

Procedure:

1. Cut idli’s into four pieces so that they look like small triangles.
2. Slice the onions and slit the green chili longitudinally into two parts.
3. In a pan/kadahi pour the oil. When heated throw in mustard seeds.
4. When seeds begin to crackle sprinkle asafoetida and add curry leaves.
5. Add onions and sauté them till golden brown.
6. Add red chili powder, salt and tomato sauce/ketchup.
7. Pour in some lukewarm water to it and mix properly.
8. When mixed properly add the idli triangles and mix it gently till the pieces are evenly coated.
9. Dish out and enjoy the feast.
